Busted Campaign Section

Another New Feature

We’re at it again. We never stop trying to figure out how to help you guys as best we can. We know people love case studies, but some of the case studies we’ve seen on other sites are pretty thin on content. Our months system can be thought of as case studies because they provide our members with methods and techniques to use to do pay per click marketing. However, one of the best ways to learn is to take a “busted” campaign, (one that didn’t work), and figure out what went wrong.

Busted Campaigns

This is something unique to PPC Coach. In this section, we want you to post a “busted” campaign. We will then tell you why it didn’t work. The more information you provide in the initial post the better, but at a minimum we require answers to the following questions:

  1. What offer were you promoting?
  2. What was the goal, (profit per day), for the campaign?
  3. Where exactly were you trying to promote it, (traffic source)?
  4. What was your maximum spend per keyword, (for search network) OR your maximum spend per adgroup, (for content network).
  5. What was your daily budget?
  6. Were you direct linking or using a landing page?
  7. Sample of your ads or banners.
  8. Sample of your keywords or entire list.
  9. How you were managing the campaign?

Using the above information as a template, we will then go through and explain why it didn’t work. Please provide as much information as possible. Think of this section as a “reverse” case study approach.  You show us what you did, we show you what you need to improve.

Learn From Other Peoples Mistakes

This is a classic way to learn from other peoples mistakes and will bring you a ton of value to your subscription.  Please, if you’re not a member, you should sign up now and take advantage of this.  We have reviewed a lot of campaigns over the years and we have found that it usually boils down to one or two small errors in execution that causes a campaign to fail.
